Boots to Grasses Therapeutic Horsemanship Program is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship - PATH - International certified volunteer-based, 501c-3 non-profit organization which provides the opportunity for personal growth to children/adults and military veterans facing challenges through the horsemanship experience. Our mission is to provide a recreational and therapeutic equine experience (EAS - Equine Assisted Services) which develops physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities and enhances self-esteem. Our program strives to provide a state of peace and accomplishment to our students. We really strive to make our program inclusive of every student. Whether it's a five-year-old with Down syndrome, a 45-year-old recovering from a spinal cord injury, a senior citizen recovering from a stroke or a teenager struggling with depression, research shows that individuals of all ages who participate in EAS can experience physical and emotional rewards. For individuals with emotional challenges, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience and self-esteem. Our BtG Family Members have such a wide range of ages, strengths and abilities. Our biggest goal is that we all work together and learn from each other!
